For 30 years, I searched for healing. I read countless self-help books, tried different therapies, and experimented with medications. Some worked for a while, but nothing seemed to stick. It felt like I was stuck in a loop of temporary fixes—a Band-Aid here, a coping mechanism there—but never lasting relief.
One day, I decided: Enough. There had to be something missing, something that could get lasting results from all the healing and self-care effort I made. There had to be something that could provide lasting relief, I was so done with surviving and was ready to finally thrive—or at least make progress that wasn't fleeting. That’s when I shifted my approach and everything changed.
Here’s what I learned: Mental, emotional, and physical health aren’t separate. Our internal state is not separate from the state of our external state. If you experience discomfort or repetitive patterns in your life or relationships, that is connected to your inner state…there are probably uncomfortable internal patterns too. Nothing is separate, even if/when it feels like it.
It’s all interconnected, - our whole human experience inside and out dynamically influencing how we feel, function, and show up in the world. The key to healing, growth, or change is acknowledging and supporting the body’s natural healing and regulating processes. When we do this, we not only recover faster from stress to support our body’s natural healing systems but also create space for real, sustainable growth in our health, life, and relationships.
β¨ Self-Healing is a partnership between your body’s natural abilities and your conscious efforts. It's all about support. Supporting your body's healing and regulating systems and being supported in your effort.
Self-Healing is a TEAM SPORT. It's not a solo activity. Human beings are hard-wired to thrive in community, not so much on our own. We can, and do, survive on our own...sometimes it's the only way we can survive...but when it's time to heal and thrive, we need community.
When I embraced this, I found a new way to respond to discomfort and my life transformed—from how I feel to how I function in my relationships, career, and beyond. Now, I help others create that shift.

π Recognize the connection between mental/emotional health, physical health, and the state of your life and relationships. They are not separate. Healing happens from the inside outward.
π Support your nervous system. This is a fundamental step every person should learn as children. When it’s regulated, your body heals and thrives more effectively.
π Don’t go it alone. Seek community for resources, support, or guidance to stay on track, to more clearly see yourself and your progress. If you spend all your energy and time seeking information and resources, or deciphering what is/is not real or right for you, you don't have enough left over to give to yourself
π Focus on sustainability. Temporary fixes can help in the moment, and sometimes they are necessary to get by, but lasting change requires commitment to practices that support your body's fundamental needs.
Does the term "self-healer" resonate with you? If you’re striving to heal, break cycles, reduce struggle, create less suffering, get some relief, achieve your goals, create new outcomes, and/or live a life where you thrive—you are already on the self-healing path.
You have the power to rewrite your story. When you feel better, you function better. When you function better, you show up as the best version of yourself. And the world needs you to shine your unique light π
