Hello and welcome to this Week’s Collective Energy Reading using this tiny tree deck gifted to me by my dear friend, the talented card-slinging author of Kitchen Table Tarot, Melissa Cynova.

Card 1: Knight of Swords (reversed)….the Past/underlying, invisible issue or root cause
What has happened in the past remains invisible in your present outcomes. You are limited by your own subconscious underlying pain, cutting you like a knife from within and keeping you small and unable to step fully into the world for fear of what repercussions may be if others see what you see. This pain holds you back, fearing rejection and/or judgment…or worse for some of you, as your subconscious fear is that you will be harmed with violent words or actions. It is possible to heal with acceptance of the darkest aspects of yourself because whatever aspect of yourself you are concealing from the world, the world has already seen it. By owning the aspects of your past self that you would cut away from yourself if you could, you become whole again…by bringing them into the light, many will discover the grace and self-forgiveness of knowing these aspects were a means to survive – and survive you have.
Card 2: Two of Pentacles…the Present/struggle or concerns you are dealing with now
Balance and harmony…your struggle to maintain it by focusing on your outer world adds to the struggle. Looking inward and tending to your needs, prioritizing yourself will allow you to return to your own inner flow, as well as the flow of life around you. Some things will pass you by, but let them go if you cannot maintain them…consider what is necessary, what is aligned with the outcome you wish to create, and what is fulfilling to help you determine what-how/how much-with whom you give your time and attention. This will help calm your nervous system and restore allostasis, or your body’s ability to navigate and recover from stress. It is okay to let go of the things, tasks, and people that no longer bring you joy…trying to do it all is hinged to a limiting belief that your worth is tied to how much you do – this is a false belief, as you have worth just by being you..and even more so by being in balance with what makes you shine in this world.
Card 3: Page of Pentacles (reversed)…the Future/what you can look forward to
It’s time for a new perspective…to see yourself, your place in the world, and the world itself from a new angle. Everything has been flipped upside down for a reason and when things are settled, it will benefit you to heal the wounds of your past so you can hear/see/sense through a clear lens, instead of through the wounds that cloud your perceptions. There is fear of losing what has grown to be familiar and nostalgic, yet there is much more possibility and opportunity waiting for you outside of this ‘comfort zone’ of what once was but no longer is…everything that brought you to this point has prepared you to take one step beyond the limitations of past safety zones so that you can become who you’ve always been. The world awaits you, knowing that the light that shines within you will serve to illuminate that which remains in the shadows as we come together from a place of love and acceptance we can create the world we all need…together. Trust in yourself to survive, because your past pain, trauma, drama, obstacles, barriers, and all experiences are your story of surviving the unthinkable…it is the story of your inner power to overcome adversity, discomfort, and uncertainty like a goddamn rock star! You have much more power and ability to steer your ship than your past conditioning and experiences have led you to believe, but just because you haven’t been able to perceive or believe in your power does NOT mean it doesn’t exist.
SELF-ACTION to help you shift your perception and overcome fears/limitations:
- Think about what you want (or how you want to feel or what you want to do).
- If fear rises (or even if it doesn’t!), face it by shifting into an upright, powerful posture – chin up, shoulders back, body upright like a superhero! (hold this posture!…)
- Breathe deep, calm breaths in this posture until you feel relaxed, safe, centered, or simply better/more capable of doing the thing
- Now while you are more clear-minded and calm, instead of fear-focused, what is one thing you can do that is aligned with what you want to create, do, or feel?
- this can be something SIMPLE, like ‘stay focused on xyz’, ask a friend for help, or redirect my fear-based thoughts every time I notice them
- Remember that sometimes you will need help or guidance and it is okay if you cannot overcome your barriers/hurdles on your own…every pattern of thought, behavior, and emotion has a physiology/biochemistry in your physical body that makes it extra difficult to do/maintain something different. It is NOT a shortcoming or brokenness that keeps you where you are no matter how hard you try…it is an indicator that you need someone to guide you.
